Product FAQ

We recommend our heavy-duty solid rubber stable mats for large horse breeds in areas or high activity. Our lightweight EVA stable mats are more suited to mid-size horses and young or recovering horses as they provide more comfort and insulation.
We estimate EVA stable mats will last 5 years of general usage within a stable environment. Solid rubber mats are expected to last longer. All our mats come with a manufacturer backed 1 year warranty.
All mats can be easily hosed down with detergent, or jet sprayed. Allow the mats to dry before replacing.

Our rubber stable mats are made from a high-quality Natural Rubber (NR). Our EVA stable mats are made from a high-quality, high-density, closed-cell EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) foam with added PE (polyethylene) for flexibility and longevity. Our hollow mats and other PVC floor tiles are made from a high-quality, high-density, virgin PVC, with an added colourant.

No, our rubber and EVA foam stable mats are different in size and shape, thus they can not be joined together.

Fitting FAQ

Laying EVA stable mats on a flat surface is always recommended, however solid rubber stable mats can adapt to small variations in floor levels. All our mats can be laid on concrete, boarding, sand and well drained areas. In addition, our ground protection mats can be laid on soft ground.
All our mats are designed to be easy to self-fit (DIY). Our rubber stable mats are heavy and we recommend two people to lift and fit. All of our mats feature an interlocking edge design so tiles fit together easily to create a strong bond. We also have a handy fitting guide to help you. If you prefer to have your mats installed for you, we can recommend fitters to you.

Whilst a flat, smooth, clean surface is ideal, we understand it might not always be possible. Our stable mats are able to cope with small amounts of dust and dirt and even small variations in floor level. Please note however that too much variation can create pressure under the tiles and may cause them to bow upwards in some environments.

Both EVA stable mats and solid rubber stable mats can be cut to size using a standard utility knife with a good straight edge and of course, gloves.

All our mats can be trimmed by hand to create a straight edge finish. However, we also sell smooth ramp edges where wheel access improved safety is required, makes it easier for wheelbarrows and water carrier movement.
