Cupar in Fife, was a seat of justice for 600 years, with early justice being dispensed on the Moat Hill. One of Scotland’s oldest royal burghs, it was visited by most of Scotland’s monarchs. From medieval times it was an important trading centre, with routes converging from Falkland, St Andrews, Dundee and Edinburgh.

Fittingly – the Fife agricultural show, has been a fixture in the spring / summer calendar for over 200 years. In 1821, the “Fife Agricultural Society” was formed in Cupar. The main objective of the Society was the general encouragement of agriculture and, in particular, the breeding of horses, cattle and sheep. This Year, The Fife show did not disappoint, with a brilliant working hunter event the horses and riders were all stunning with a great result for the red rosette.

As well as the competitions and prizes, popular traders in the equestrian take their positions behind their trade stands in the commerce area. This year Equifloor UK – Stable Mats were kind enough to sponsor the 1.30 class show jumping, which turned out to be a brilliant watch.
